KADAI PANEER RECIPE

 Kadai paneer recipe is one of the most common paneer gravies out there. It's absolutely delicious and flavorful and it gets its flavor from this special masala powder. That I'm gonna show you right now.

SHORT DESCRIPTION OR METHOD  FOR KADAI PANEER RECIPE

FOR FRIED ONION & CAPSICUM

  1. To a pan add oil, onion, and capsicum and saute the vegetables for 2 mins.

FOR FRIED PANEER

  1. Chope paneer roughly and keep them in a bowl.
  2. Heat some oil in a Kadai and fry the paneer pieces.
  3. Take them out once they are golden brown in color, keep them aside.

FOR MASALA POWDER

  1. To a pan add the ingredients for masala powder one by one.
  2. Keep the flame on medium and roast for 2 min, till they turn aromatic.
  3. Let them cool and grind the mixture to a fine powder.

FOR KADAI PANEER

  1. To the same Kadai add oil ginger, garlic, onion, tomatoes, salt and saute them well.
  2. Cook these for 5-8 mins on medium flame.
  3. Once they are cooked well let them cool and grind them to a fine paste.
  4. To the Kadai, add oil and butter. then add the ground masala paste and some water. Bring it to a boil.
  5. After the masala gravy thickens, salt, chili, powder, and the ground masala powder.
  6. Once the gravy thickens and oil separates, add the fried onion and capsicum wedges.
  7. Now add water and keep the flame on medium.
  8. Close and cook the gravy for about 10-15 mins.
  9. After the oil separates add fried paneer.
  10. After a minute, add fresh cream and some crushed kasoori methi.
  11. Gently mix everything and turn off the stove
  12. serve the Kadai paneer hot with some hot phulkas.

So let's get started and check out the Kadai paneer recipe take a pan pour. A little oil 2 teaspoons oil I've cut one onion into small wedges and one capsicum into small wedges saute the vegetables for about 2 minutes.

Now you can see the onions are transparent turn off the stove and keep it aside to the same pan add some butter. I have 4 grams of paneer cubes I'm going to fry it till it's nicely golden brown color the paneer pieces are fried to a nice golden brown color turn off the stove and keep them aside for the Kadai paneer.

I'm gonna make a masala powder for this sticker Kadai and dry roast a few spices starting with 1 tablespoon of coriander seeds 1/2 TSP of peppercorns a small piece of cinnamon 2 bay leaves 1 TSP of cumin seeds 4 cloves to add for a Chili's roasted spices for about 2 minutes.

On medium heat, till you get a nice roasted aroma turn off the stove cool the mixture and grind it to a nice fine powder to the same Kadai and one and a half tablespoons of oil to this. I'm adding five large garlic cloves 1-inch pea is ginger current pieces 2 onions thinly sliced add 3 tomatoes chopped cook this for about 5 to 8 minutes.

On medium flame the tomatoes are mushy you can see the vegetable is all cooked turn off the stove cool the mixture and grind it to a nice fine paste. The same could I add one tablespoon oil and one tablespoon butter to add the ground onion and tomato paste.

So there is a little bit of masala sticking in the jar. I've just poured a little water and cleaned it up to cook till the masala paste thickens. You can see all the excess moisture is evaporated. It's come to a nice thick mass number two at the ground masala powder.

It's about one and a half tablespoons next add 1 teaspoon of Kashmiri red chili powder add 1 teaspoon salt Mix everything together. So you can see the paste has reduced beautifully and the oil is beginning to separate this is a good time to add the fried vegetables.

That is the capsicum and the onions add one and a half cups of water keep the flame on medium and let the gravy cook for about 10 minutes. The gravy has been cooking for about 10 minutes now you can see the oil is beginning to separate add the fried paneer.

After a minute add one tablespoon of fresh cream and some crushed kasoori methi gently mix.

It so now the Kadai paneer is done well just looking at that Kadai paneer. I am already drooling. I can't wait to get a bite of that so you can enjoy this with some naan roti or polkas or even with sample au and rice.

  • PEPPER-1/2 TSP
  • CINNAMON - 1 INCH PIECE
  • BAY LEAF - 2 NOS.

  • CLOVE - 4 NOS
  • RED CHILI - 4 NOS

  • GARLIC - 5 CLOVES
  • GINGER - 1 INCH PIECE
  • ONION - 2 NOS (THINLY SLICED)
  • TOMATO -3 NOS (CHOPPED)

  • OIL - 1 TBSP
  • BUTTER - 1 TBSP
  • GROUND ONION & TOMATO PASTE
  • GROUND MASALA POWDER - 1 1/2 CUPS (1.5 CUPS)
  • KASHMIRI CHILI POWDER - 1 TBSP
  • SALT- 1 TSP
  • WATER - 1 1/2 CUPS (1.5 CUPS)
  • FRESH CREAM - 1 TBSP 
  • KASURI METHI
